What's the Mish?

Dear family.
How are you all doing this week? Grant is going to Mexico!!!! What? I never thought. Seriously. I wanted it to be spanish speaking... now we can talk about all of you and you'll never know hahaha.... but I cant believe he is leaving in September either. Wow... get busy Grant! I waited four months and that was hard! But good luck. You'll be great. The mission is amazing.

So this week was not that great. I'm not going to lie. We literally didn't work because my companion was sick! Poor thing. I woke up to her throwing up in the bathroom. I felt so bad but now she is better. My first experience with throw up. I've made it pretty far don't you think? Also speaking about making it far... I turn 9 months old in the mission this week!!!!!! I'm literally half way done.. I don't know how in the world that happened but it did. I also am scared because everyone says the second half goes by a million times faster. I guess I just better buckle up.
I love the mission. We were in a lesson and this little girl asked me what does the mission mean to you? What a profound question!!! I literally started bawling and the spirit testified to me that this is the work of the Lord. This is the true church!!! I LOVE THE MISSION!!! The mission means everything to me. I love seeing people change. I love that the gospel changes families. I love seeing the power of the atonement. I love loving people that I don't even know or never have even spoken to. I just love it. It is hard at times but that doesn't even matter. I only have 9 months to give it all I've got!!! We got this right?

A little food for thought. We can measure our true conversion by the desire we have to share the gospel. Isn't that so true? We shouldn't be selfish. If we have seen this gospel and the happiness it brings to us in our lives then we should do everything we can to share it with others!!!! Help the missionaries in your areas!!!! They will love you forever! Like I love you all... have an amazing week.

Tears. . . .and Tears

I don't think this week was normal.. I saw more people crying than I have my whole mission... and crying a lot because their parents beat them.... how heart breaking it is to see that! You see people in the States but its not like here... it is such a bad tradition and needs to stop. But also I have learned soooo much this week about what it means to be a parent! Its kind of weird to be learning that as I am clearly single... but holy cow. Mom, Dad,,, thank you so much for being wonderful parents that love me and support me. I am so blessed to have you both! Thank you for your examples. It is so sad how many people don't know how to be parents because they didn't  have parents that showed them! Wow. I love you guys. But it also made me excited to be a mom!! And scared out of my mind haha. oh the things you learn on a mission. Be prepared Grant haha.

Also to everyone. I DID NOT CUT MY HAIR! The pensions daughters were just playing with it to see what it would look like if i did but it. No worries. I wouldnt do that haha. But everyone. Thank your parents and try to be better parents. We can all improve!

Florida!

I left Cerro de Pasco!!! We never thought that day would come. I am now in La Florida in Huancayo. It is soo beautiful here and the weather is amazing!!! This area is seriously like the states. How weird is it to be in really nice houses and really nice cars. Everyone has a car! How weird! I love my new pension and everything. This area is going to be amazing I know it. My new companion is Hna Spitale from Argentina. Guess what everyone! Her dad was president of the Argentina Bahia Blanca mission. Which was Jonathan's mission president. My companion knows Jonathan!!! How weird of a connection! The world is soo small. She is sooo cute. And she is definitely helping me with my Spanish. But its fun to be in a new area.

hna Spitale
Conference. How amazing was it no? It was so fun to be in the stake center when they announced the Lima Peru temple!! They were all sooo excited! Ahh! the people here are blessed. I was so excited too.

I loved what President Monson said "choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong". It is sooo true!! And as well as what Hollland said "give your heart to god". How amazing how everyone talked about the atonement. Seriously! Everything can be corrected through the atonement. I know its true!!!! I love this gospel. I can not wait to read the messages again. Well I will let you all know more about my area later. Stay tuned.... have an amazing week!
